Rebekah Kitchell

I am a North-east based photographer who uses photography to explore identity. My work often takes an autobiographical approach, whether it’s turning the camera in on myself, or using the camera to explore relationships I have with others. My work comments on today’s society and the influence the media has on us.

I predominantly work with medium format, colour film, creating hand made chemical prints in the dark room. The process is an extremely important part of my practice as a photographer as I view the photograph as an object – something you can physically touch.
