2014 Graduate from the University of Sunderland. Inspired strongly by the old masters and their use of light/dark exposure on the human form.
His paintings are inspired by the likes of Caravaggio and many others from centuries ago; mostly for their use of chiaroscuro – paintings representing a harsh, dramatic lighting used to evoke a sense of presence. However, he has now veered more toward the style of realism. When Scott paints each subject his intention is to manipulate each figure to come forth from the canvas and emerge from its background.
