Floon is a type of sludge. Floon is an art and critical theory zine that exhibits the work of artists and writers whose work converge around a creative and adaptive understanding of LARP (Live Action Role Play).

Bringing together ideas around post-internet aesthetics, gamification, projective identities, social meaning-making, and post-truth politics/post-shitpost politics, Floon aims to carve out an anarchic and experimental space within the emergent renegotiation of the lore and politics of role-play – employing it as a playful and ectoplasmic framework to analyze and explore the broader set of contexts and ideas that surround its incipient integration into the contemporary popular and aesthetic discourse, the politics and direction of which remain urgently in contestation.
