Photographs charts the story of British artist, Jack Davison’s, experiments with image making from 2007 to present.
Although the deep shadows and tight framing give the images an unmistakably cinematic quality, their content shifts from staged, meticulous editorial setups to simple everyday occurrences.
Two recurring motifs in Davison’s work are the hand and the eye. The images present viewers with a dynamic tension between seeing and feeling, perception and imagination.
